From Dream to Reality – Simon’s Story
After more than 40 years in the tyre trade, working for some of the industry’s biggest names, Simon has finally achieved his long-time ambition—running his own tyre business.
His journey began in 1980 at Ralph Ripley, followed by a role at Central Tyres (then owned by Pirelli). In 1998, Simon joined Harris Bros, where he worked under Derrek Phillipart and Leighton Walker until the business was sold to Protyre in 2011.
Over the decades, Simon built a reputation for honest advice, hard work, and unmatched customer care—so much so that many people assumed he already owned the business. Now, with Simon Tyre Services, that dedication continues, but this time with his name above the door.
“I’ve met countless customers and made many good friends over the years,” says Simon. “I’ve always treated people with respect and honesty, and I use my experience to guide them toward the best value for their money.”
